2017 - A Photographic Year in Review...

January 2nd 2018

As 2017 came to an end, and we've turned the new calendar page into 2018, we take a moment to view a global picture as to what we've accomplished during the last 12 months, and look onward to what we can aspire towards, in terms of goals for the upcoming year.

As many of you know, 2017 was quite drastic, but could have easily been much worst. Just when you think you're on top of the world, a stupid incident, promptly puts everything back in perspective, and has you pondering on the future.

This seems to be a copy/paste situation of the previous year, as exactly 1 year ago on September 11th, I had gone through shoulder reconstruction surgery.  This past year, a whole other cloud was above my head, as a road accident caused damage significant injuries, resulting in a multitude of fractures and surgical interventions. Be assured that we are 95% recovered, and back on track.

The loyalty of our clients has been the most humbling and heart-felt of experiences.

1. Projects
A total of 148 different projects were accomplished in the past year. If it weren't for the incident, we were well on track to achieving the 200 project target we had set ourselves. But considering the 5 months off for physical rehabilitation, that's still quite good. :)   We've gone ahead and given oursleves last years target of 200 projects for 2018.

2.  Blog
Our 5th full year of keeping a Blog.  It's long, tedious, but well worth the time spent in visibility.  108 new Posts on the SNAPePHOTO Blog! (Up from 102 in 2016).  We thought we could have reached 700,000 Pageviews in 2017, but it'll have to wait for 1 or 2 more posts in early January.  We're hoping to reach 875,000 Pageviews by the end of the year. More than 200,000 Hits in the last 12 months!!

3.  Website
During the time off, dosed up on morphine, we had not up-kept the website, and waited until early on in the year to publish things back at a normal pace, including backtracks of previous work.  That had for impact that visits on the site were down considerably.  Goes to show that it takes a lot of work to upkeep traffic, but it doesn't take much to lose it.  A lesson well learned.  With 212,454 Page Views178,927 Visits & 27,371 Unique Visitors to date, we're motivated to greatly increase those numbers back to normal, above those from 2016.

4.  Gear
2017 has been a of reflection, of where we will be heading in the short / medium timeframe.  We've juggling, and are still considering changing over to another company.  Stay tuned!

5.  Clients
And of course, we're keeping the best for last... Our clients!  2017 has brought us a total of 3 new clients.

Our goal for 2018, will be to continue to satisfy our existing clientele, and try to add on average 1 new client every 2 months.  Hopefully, you will be one of them.

On that note, we wanted to take this opportunity, to wish you all....

HEALTH, HAPPINESS, LOVE & PROSPERITY for 2018!
